It' been a long time dream of mine to own a download site for shareware/freeware. This week, I had the opportunity to buy an engine to run it. I could had bought the database(more money) but I wanted to start clean with the latest version of every application. I will use it to promote my own freeware MIS Info Video.
Being a blogger, I added a Blog section for authors of plugins so they can have more exposure. One nice feature is that people can rate/review a file. I want it to be a one stop shop. 
And now, meet 1 Cool File

For example, you can try a new media player after you have just finished a music download. You can add your ebook about making money or a screen saver. That's not all, it has a section just for blogs(plugins). You can also rate a file or make a review about it. It does support PAD files so tell authors about it.
And just by linking to the contest post, I can win $50. You should read the contest post to win 2 other prizes of $25/each if you don't have a blog. If your entry is before the next Google page rank, Steve will double the main prize. So, don't wait to long. It's coming soon!

I will randomly draw $25 from those that sent me relevant errors about my new site. Use the contact form there and mentioned the contest in the message. For example the news is empty and the search use Google and won't find nothing until it's indexed(1 week), so those 2 don't count.

Notes:
I submitted my site today to the Association of Shareware Professionals. Once I'm on the list, I will start getting new files everyday. Hopefully, it won't take too long to be on it! But you can tell it to plugins authors that they can start to add their plugins. They can't use the PAD files anyway.
Make sure that the links work from your site. Don't copy the text from the feed, just in case.
This is only the first step. I have many things in mind. So, do visit the site from time to time especially if you need a cool file.

You only got a few days to participate in the contest. With the looks of it, it will be $100 for the main prize because Google did not do a PageRank update so far.
