- What media player do you use?
- Do you play movies full screen most of the time?(I’m not talking about short video clip)
- Have you tried MIS Info Video(my free media player) with/without a .MIS?
- Do you take time to look at ads and click on one that you like to show support for the free software?
2 Prizes: End this Friday, July 6
- $25CAD for leaving a comment
- $25CAD if you mentioned this contest on your blog(your must write your answers here)
A person could win both.
You need a Paypal account.
Here are my answers(don’t copy it):
1- I use MIS Info Video(Windows)
2- Yes! Are they any other way to watch movies other than full screen?
3- Yes and only with a .MIS. I use Info2MIS(free) to make one in only 2 clicks and I get the .JPG to go along.
4- Yes even beforeMIS Info Video went free, and software authors, like me, appreciate it when people do so.
P.S.
If you want to see what you could do with a bunch of movies in .MPG or converted to .AVI(DivX) and with a .MIS, .JPG. Also, you will be able to download MIS Info Video directly from that page.
Edit: If you have a blog, please participate to this other contest on MISfan.com, more money ![]()

Others:
You can still setup your own player with MIS Info Video. In Version 1(Front End only), it was like that only. I would browse the movie list and it would launch the media player. By using the integrated player, you can save the position in the movie if the your player does not do that.
Brent:
or even sit a few feet from the monitor. The software is for showcasing what a .MIS(MIS specification) could be use for but on other devices. Not everyone want a computer in the living room.
The .MIS is for bridging the gap between the 2.
Yes it was for my simple HTPC, I got a Satellite PVR since 2001, that’s the reason for big buttons
Eventually, I could record a movie with a JPG and .MIS and then burn to DVD for my father/mother/sister to play on a standalone player. They will get information about the movie. It can filter movies by age.
It could be use for podcast to because it support chapters in the .MIS. I which I had this on my mp3 player when I listen to podcast. :p

3. Have you tried MIS Info Video(my free media player) with/without a .MIS?
Honestly, I haven’t but I’ll definitely give it a shot. Looking through the site for it I’d say the program looks very promising, but I’d try to clean the webpage up a bit.
4. Do you take time to look at ads and click on one that you like to show support for the free software?
Occasionally, I find its the easiest way to get that “feel good” feeling like you’ve contributed to something. But the goods gotta be real good for me to remember to do so, or even notice that the ads are there.

here are my answers, not very educated, but i m not a video freak by any means
Quicktime is the default app I have to watch video in, but often I use VLC because it plays everything.
Full screen is the only way to view movies on a PC unless you are a person with 3 sides to your brain and can concentrate on a mini size movie, while writing documents and surfing.
I can’t use the MIS Info video software because my Mac isn’t Intel based so I can’t read .exe files. Sorry. Next autumn things will change, all being well with my wife!
Sorry, again, but I don’t usually click on any ads ever. A habit that I hope nobody else has, else anyone earning money from the internet is in trouble.
cheers
Ed

Andrea: Thanks

Also, I moved some of the ads(small) on the side and removed 2 banners.
Ed, Andrea:
The .MIS could be use by Linux/MAC for free on open source/freeware because I can’t do it myself. I however have a competition(programmers) for open source/freeware to win money to support it. So, if what you use is free, tell them to support it. It should not take them that long.
1. What media player do you use?
Unless I come across an odd file-type, 95% of the time I use WinAmp.
2. Do you play movies full screen most of the time?(I’m not talking about short video clip)
Unless I’m watching something from a DVD, usually not.
3. Have you tried MIS Info Video(my free media player) with/without a .MIS?
Never heard of it actually.
4. Do you take time to look at ads and click on one that you like to show support for the free software?
I generally prefer to directly donate a small amount to software makers rather than click on an ad.
1) Windows Media Player iTunes and Ares
2) I try to, I dont like wide
3) No
4) Not usually
